Modern society has become insanely complex.

So complex, that it’s often hard to get seemingly simple things done.

And yet there are layers and layers of bureaucrats fuelling the insanity on a daily basis.

Busily “doing” but achieving little.

The tenant, with no hot water, has a contract with the rental agent, who has a contract with the landlord, who has a contract with the body corporate committee, who has a contract with the corporate managers, who has a contract with the plumbers, who have a sub-contract with the other plumbers, who have to go through council to get a permit…

That’s eight, yes eight, levels of contracts, just to get a hot shower.

And seven days later, the water’s still cold.

Who the hell came up with that as a system that’s supposed to work?
