There are times to be creative and go with the flow and times to be working towards an outcome.

The challenge and the skill is to know which is which.

When you’re working freely, there’s no boundaries, no restrictions, you can try any thing and do what you want.

When you’re working to an outcome, there’s usually a time frame, a budget, specific requirements, and expectations of others that need to be met. A school assignment, a project, a work task…

The key to working freely within the boundaries of an outcome is to know exactly what that outcome is, meet it, and THEN explore beyond those boundaries.

That’s when you can start to be really free.

Otherwise if you do your own thing when there’s an expected outcome, you’ll be sent back to the drawing board over and over and over again.

And that doesn’t make any body happy.
