From an early age you are sent to school so you can get into university so that you can get a good job so that you can get a mortgage and be “successful.”
It’s what you’re “supposed” to do.
It’s what you’re often being groomed to do since birth in this “modern world” we live in.
Because that’s what every one else is doing.
It’s what the system demands.
It’s the expectation of parents, peers, and society.
So You Do It
You go to school to so you can get into university so that you can get a good job so that you can get a mortgage and be “successful.”
Only, when you get there, for some reason it doesn’t feel like “success.”
When you think about it, you’re not even sure what success is supposed to be, only that you don’t seem to be getting it while every one around you is.
Or says they are.
But you keep doing what you’re supposed to be doing, waiting, hoping for that moment when you “get it.”
When suddenly it all makes sense and you understand why you’ve spent your life doing what you’ve been doing and you finally experience the rewards and the success and it all becomes worthwhile.
You Stay On The Treadmill Of Life
Working. Waiting Hoping.
Changing jobs, changing careers. Climbing the ladder – taking more responsibility, earning more money.
Constantly waiting for things to change, and hoping to understand why you feel this way.
Why you can’t be totally, truly happy with what you have, the life you live.
When every one around you is.
But What If They’re Not?
What if a lot of the people around you feel this way?
What if they’re also changing jobs, changing careers. Climbing the ladder – taking more responsibility, earning more money.
Constantly waiting for things to change and hoping to understand why they feel this way.
Only No-One Says It
No-one ever stops to say… this is not the life I choose.
This was chosen for me.
I would never choose to spend my life going to school so you can get into university so that you can get a good job so that you can get a mortgage and be “successful.”
It makes no sense to do this.
I would choose a totally different life.
I would choose to travel, create, rest, relax, nurture, connect, and be.
I would choose to explore, experience and express my self.
In ways that are totally unique to me.
I Would Never Choose…
To go to school so you can get into university so that you can get a good job so that you can get a mortgage and be “successful.”
When there are so many other, infinite, inspired, more amazing ways to live.
Why would you choose what every one else is doing just because every one else is doing it.
But they are.
Every one seems to go along with this pre-determined life with little question.
Accepting. Working. Waiting. Hoping.
That little voice, that tiny spark.
The one who’s been waiting for more.
No longer wants to work. Wait. Hope.
THAT little voice. THAT tiny spark.
That has always wanted more. Has always known there is so, so, very much more.
That’s the YOU that’s had enough.
And no longer chooses to follow the status quo.
THAT tiny voice, that’s always been there.
Grows louder by the day.
Discontent to follow the norm because every body else does it
When deep inside, you know that you were meant for more. Oh, so much more.
Your day will come…
Your Day Is Here
The day when you finally choose to step up and out of the reality we call “life.”
The day when you choose to do things YOUR way.
Rather than THEIR way.
Most people choose to quieten THAT little voice, THAT tiny spark.
But yours grows louder.
And with every tiny boost in volume
You’re one step closer to making your choice.
And claiming YOUR life.
The Life That Works For YOU
Rather than the society and the reality you were born into.
In fact, you’ve already made that choice.
The minute you chose to listen to that little voice, that tiny spark.
Instead of shut it down – like so many around you do.
You chose YOU.
Every time you hear that voice, and listen to it, you choose YOU.
The discontent with the life you lead is merely a symptom of your choice for something different, something more.
So embrace it and know that every second, every day, you are choosing more of what is truly yours.
Keep Choosing YOU
By doing so, you’re already living YOUR life.
You’re already well on your way.
You’ve never been one of the masses. You never, ever, really fit in.
That’s how you know you’re different. Dare to be different.
That’s just part of the game.
