What if women ran the world?
What if all the leaders were women?
I wonder what the world would be like then?
I wonder what would change.
The Fight For The Feminine
The energy of the Masculine has reigned now for hundreds, thousands of years.
The energy of the Feminine has laid low all this time.
That’s the essence of this conversation.
The balance between the Masculine and the Feminine.
Not a fight for one or the other. Or between them.
It’s not really about Men and Women either.
The Masculine and Feminine are an energy within each of us – to varying degrees. Along a spectrum.
There are Masculine Men and Masculine Women and Feminine Men and Feminine Women, and a plethora of variations in between.
This is about revitalizing the Feminine energy, in any physical form.
The Hidden Feminine
As a global society we live in a patriarchy and follow the philosophies and values of a masculine approach to life.
In this process, the feminine has been lost. Discarded. De-valued.
Left as an after thought.
No opportunity to evolve and grow and flourish.
Supressed. Repressed. Hidden.
But what if the Feminine were given space to expand and evolve and grow and spread.
What if it were given the space to breathe and live.
I wonder what the world would be like then.
Feminine And Masculine
The energies of the Feminine and Masculine exist at opposite ends of a spectrum.
They are not meant to overpower each other.
They do not exist one without the other.
They are designed to co-exist in harmony, in balance. To enhance one another.
To provide a contrast and a context for one to be seen and appreciated against the other.
Somewhere we got lost.
Somewhere the energy of the Masculine forgot what it needs to remain in balance.
It overpowered the Feminine and took control – which is what it is designed to do.
But it went too far.
Masculine And Feminine
The Masculine is an energy of linear, logical, rational thought.
The Feminine is an energy of cyclical, intuitive, emotional feel.
The Masculine competes, wins – at all cost.
The Feminine co-operates, concedes – to keep the peace.
The Masculine reacts, controls, does.
The Feminine reflects, allows, be’s.
Not good or bad.
So what if we chose to embrace the qualities of the Feminine – in business, the work place, the world.
What if we stopped, stepped back and chose to see the value of what the Feminine can offer.
To soften, and support and enhance the world we live in.
What if men and women were allowed to express emotions in the work place?
What if business cared about people and the planet first – rather than the bottom line?
What if we worked on intuition, imagination, innovation – rather than rational, analytical sense?
What Would The World Be?
Softer. Gentler. Easier. Peace-fuller.
Maybe we should let women run the world. Even for a little while.
Just for a hundred years.
Just to see what would happen.
