I'M LIZ WATT
About Me
Writer, educator, truth seeker. I spent 20 years looking for the answer.
This is what I found.
About Me
I'm Liz Watt. Architect, project manager, author, educator, business owner, systems thinker, and someone who burned out multiple times trying to make sense of a world nobody fully explained.
Nobody teaches you who you are or what you are actually living in. You get fragments, from limited perspectives. Each one addresses a piece of the picture and ignores the rest. You spend your life trying to navigate without a compass or a map.
This site is the attempt to see the whole picture and all the pieces in it.
The Journey
I followed all the rules.
Architecture degree. Registered architect. Corporate career. Project management. Big projects, good money, all the markers of success. I climbed the ladder and waited for it to feel right.
It didn't.
So I tried everything else. And this is where it gets interesting - because I didn't try one thing. I tried all of them, from completely different directions.
I went down the wealth creation path. The share market, real estate, online businesses, eBay, consulting. The promise was that enough money would buy freedom. It didn't work - and when it didn't, the message was that the strategy worked but I hadn't tried hard enough, thought big enough, wanted it badly enough. The problem was me.
I went down the personal development path. Books, courses, coaches, gurus, masterminds, seminars. Gratitude lists, vision boards, affirmations. The promise was that fixing my mindset would fix my life. Some things shifted for better. Some things for worse. Overall I felt better. Nothing fundamental changed. And again, when it didn't work, the problem was apparently me.
I went down the spiritual path. Meditation, energy work, new age frameworks, love and light. The promise was transcendence. But it kept floating above the reality of having a body, a mortgage, a career, a shadow side that didn't dissolve just because I preferred it to.
Each world offered a piece. None of them held the whole picture.
And in between all of it - burnout. Multiple times. The deep kind that forces a full stop and won't let you go back to what was.
In those full stops, something shifted. Not a sudden revelation, more like layers. Each time I stopped and looked honestly at what was actually happening, another layer became visible. Not because I had finally tried hard enough. Because my level of understanding had shifted enough to let me see further. How the human-made systems actually operate. How the internal world and the external world interact. How consciousness works beneath the frameworks we've been handed. How the inner work and the outer navigation are both necessary, neither one sufficient without the other.
I saw patterns everywhere. In architecture. In corporate structures. In how human beings behave under pressure. In how systems are designed. In my own recurring cycles. In the people around me navigating the same invisible walls.
The picture is still forming. You can only ever see as far as your current level of consciousness allows. At each point in the journey, that was the limit of what was visible, not a personal failing, not a lack of effort. The same is true now. What is visible from here is not the whole picture. It is the whole picture available from here.
Further along. Not finished.

Why None Of It Worked
Most people trying to build a life that feels like theirs end up on one of three paths. Sometimes all three, at different points. Sometimes all three simultaneously.
Wealth creation operates in the worldly realm of form, the physical, the human-made external world. Systems, structures, money, the constructed reality you were born into. It understands how that world works, how to navigate it, how to build within it.
What it misses is the influence the internal realm has on the external world you create. Your internal state, your vibrational frequency, your unresolved patterns, these are what determine the reality your life reflects back to you. You cannot create a truly aligned life without understanding that.
And it misses the ethereal realm entirely, the nature of reality and consciousness itself, the universal laws that govern creation and consequence whether you understand them or not. It never questions what reality actually is, or what you actually are within it.
Personal development operates in the internal realm, the worldly self. Perception, thought, emotion, the inner landscape that determines how you experience and create your external world. It is right that the most important work is internal, reconnecting to your true self.
What it misses is the worldly realm, how to take your evolving self and live aligned within external systems specifically designed to keep you disconnected from yourself, compliant and consuming.
And it misses the ethereal realm, the understanding that the inner work is not the destination. It is the path back to Source. The suffering, the struggle, the shadow work, these are the curriculum for soul evolution. That is the whole point of the human condition. Without that dimension, inner work becomes self-optimisation without a larger purpose.
Spirituality reaches for the ethereal realm. It is Source Consciousness, natural law, the deeper truth of what reality actually is and the immutable laws that govern creation and consequence whether you know them or not. It is right that there is more going on than what is visible in the three-dimensional world.
What it misses is that the worldly realm is not separate from the ethereal. Form is an expression of infinite consciousness. Source created the worldly realm, including the human experience within it, to know and experience itself from a new perspective. The soul does not come here to transcend form. It comes here to evolve through it.
Bypassing the worldly realm is not transcendence. It is a rejection of the very medium through which the soul evolves and through which Source knows itself.
And it misses the full picture of the internal realm, the vibrational imprint, unresolved trauma, shadow parts, repeating patterns, the disrupted internal navigation systems that are not obstacles to spiritual growth. They are the curriculum.
None of them is wrong. All of them are incomplete.
The human being exists simultaneously across all three realms. You are a worldly self navigating a physical reality. You are an internal self, perceiving, interpreting, projecting. You are an ethereal self, an aspect of Source Consciousness incarnated into human form to learn, expand and ascend. You cannot live fully in one realm while ignoring the other two. The work happens across all three simultaneously, not sequentially.
That is what Unity maps. That is what this site explores.
